Multiple Teams · Success at the Southside Girls Mixer and Varsity Duals

The Southside Girls Mixer and Varsity Dual Tournament made for a busy and successful weekend! The home tournament was run in split sessions: the Girls team was in action Saturday morning and the Varsity Boys wrestled in the afternoon. Our girls continue to battle and grow every time they compete. All four of our Lady Falcons showed signs of improvement on Saturday, but Nicole Redmond (9) was dominant. The freshman went undefeated on the day, pinning her way through the top pool at 120 lbs. Great job Nicole!

Our Varsity boys continue to battle through adversity as we were missing several starters on Saturday to illness. The Falcons found a way to go 3-2 in five tough duals, regardless of being short handed. We notched victories over Shawnee Mission East, Olathe West, and Baldwin, but dropped close duals to Fort Scott and Platte County, Missouri.

Standout Individual Performances:

Abel Perez (12) – 4-1 at 106 lbs.

Ty Knudsen (12) – 4-1 at 195 lbs.

Blake Jouret (11) 5-0 at 170 lbs.

Zack Leskovac (12) 5-0 at 182 lbs.

Robert Shands (12) 5-0 at 285 lbs.
