Boys Varsity/JV Golf · Varsity finishes 4th in Final Round of Sunflower League Championship


In what has become one of the most special events on the golf schedule, the Falcons were back on the course for the third and final round of the Sunflower League Championship at Lawrence Country Club today. The Falcons shot a team score of 342, good for a 4th place finish at the 3rd Annual Justin Siler Memorial Invitational Tournament. The Falcons battled hard on a course known for its quick greens and tall grass. This tournament featured a total of 82 golfers from the Sunflower League schools.

Tyler Strong (Fr) was the low man for the Falcons with an 81, good for an 8th place finish. Garret Reckrodt (Jr) posted another good score with an 84, finishing in 14th place.

  • Alex Citron – 88 (25th place)
  • Brooks Guinn – 89 (29th place)
  • Bryce Goebel – 89 (29th place)
  • Blake Strong – 91 (38th place)

The Varsity finished in 4th place as a team in the Sunflower League Championship. The teams best finish in the Sunflower League in over a decade. The Varsity will be back in action on Monday May 10th at 9:00 am at Hoots Hollow Golf Course for the Olathe Northwest Invitational. Great job today Falcons!
